About the Club

We are a group of individuals who love racing Radio Controlled Cars.

We race at two tracks in Canberra, a temporary indoor track at St Monicas and our permanent outdoor track located off Kett St in Kambah.

We race remote controlled electric powered on road cars.

Everybody is welcomTransponder.objects.filtere to come along and have a go. You can bring your own car, or hire one of our club cars. We place drivers into groups to ensure you are racing against people with similar abilities and equipment.

The ACTMCRC is affiliated with the Remote Controlled Racing Australia, the governing body of RC racing in Australia.

About the Club

Classes

Remote Controlled Car Racing, just like real car racing, is divided in to classes. These classes are differentiated by a number of factors, such as drive type (AWD, FWD or RWD), motor type or driver skills.

Some of our classes are governed by the RCRA, others are 'home grown'. One of the practical differences between classes comes down to budget. Some of our classes are designed to appeal to the social racer with limited time and budget, while other classes are much more performance oriented.

See Information about classes for more details

Outdoor Tarmac Racing

We race at Kambah the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month. Starting times are published for each event.

We normally run a mixture of AWD Touring Car (ISTC) classes as well as RWD Pan Car classes, Formula 1 and Tamiya TT.

If you have a 1/10 or 1/12 scale electric on road racing car, bring it along and we will find somewhere for you to run it.
